One of the easiest and popular salads in Morocco , is this tomato and onion salad.you can find it in regular rotation with many meals .

Ingredients

  • 2 large, fresh tomatoes
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. first remove the seed inside tomatoes .
  2. Slice into strips and then very finely dice the strips.
  3. Cut the onion into very thin strips, as thin as you possibly can cut them. Dice the strips.
  4. In a bowl; mix the onion and tomato together .
  5. To prepare the dressing, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  6. Drizzle the dressing on top of the tomato and onions. Only use as much as you would like.
  7. Serve it cold or at room temperature.with fried fish or any meals you like.
